Coinciding with the ‘DEFEXPO 2010’, Confederation of Indian Industry is pleased to announce the following defence Industry Interaction & B2B meetings on 18 February 2010 in New Delhi. The objective of these interactions is to give an opportunity to all the stake holders to meet under one roof, to collectively discuss the opportunities in the Indian Defence sector and the possibilities for international tie-ups and joint ventures.
0930 – 1330 Hrs; INDIA-UK DEFENCE INDUSTRY INTERACTION
The interaction is being organised jointly by CII with ADS, UK. ADS is a national industrial organisation of UK representing high technology companies involved in the aerospace, defence & security (for details please visit: www.adsgroup.org.uk and www.twitter.com/adsgroupuk). CII will also be signing an MoU with ADS, UK during the interaction. A strong defence industry team from UK would be forming a part of the ADS delegation to India.
1430 – 1700 Hrs; INDIA-US DEFENCE INDUSTRY INTERACTION
The interaction is being organized jointly by CII with US-India Business Council. The U.S-India Business Council is the premier business advocacy organization representing America's top companies investing in India, joined by global Indian companies, promoting economic reforms with an aim to deepen trade and strengthen commercial ties.
The interaction would provide an opportunity to Indian companies to interact on business possibilities, as also:
- Business Opportunity (India & UK / US) presentations
- Identify Co-development / Co-production partners from UK /US
- Understanding the outsourcing requirements of the UK / US Defence Industry from India
With an aim to facilitate interactions between the Defence and Aerospace companies from both Indian & Foreign Companies, structured one-to-one meetings will also be organized (only on 18 Feb). These B2B meetings are strictly reserved to professionals who clearly describe their expertise, areas of interest or needs.
